TOVA

TOVA (she/her) is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Finance, artist, poet, singer, and performer. Born in Kazakhstan, she has lived in five countries (KZ, RUS, UAE, IL, UK) and is currently based in London. She is an artist-mediator with a sharp sensory awareness and a rigorous conceptual vision. Her work translates scientific research, multicultural experience, the often unseen challenges of the 21st century, and human emotional states into unified, multidimensional visual forms.
TOVA’s practice unfolds through two key authorial concepts: TOVA NUTS, which take the form of sculptural artworks, and TOVA WORLDS, immersive environments where visual art, text, sound, video, poetry, and other media come together as cohesive artistic systems.
TOVA’s visual language is shaped by over a decade of applied research in financial markets, including market microstructure, trading strategies, financial modelling, forecasting, market surveillance, and machine learning in finance. Her academic background brings clarity, precision, and conceptual depth to her work. Each TOVA NUT emerges from an extensive process of hypothesis formation, analytical investigation, and model construction. Holding a TOVA NUT is holding a knowledge in a visual form.
Tova mission
TOVA aims to empower viewers by providing a fresh understanding of contemporary reality that remains meaningful without relying on scientific texts or professional environments. Through her TOVA NUTS and TOVA WORLDS, she invites people to embrace their whole selves and enjoy the connections between logic and emotion.
This idea is crystallized in TOVA NUTS: possessing a nut connects individuals to a form that embodies gathered knowledge in an aesthetic way. TOVA WORLDS invites viewers to immerse themselves in TOVA’s artistic universe and adopt her perspective on reality.
Together, TOVA NUTS and TOVA WORLDS create a cohesive system that allows viewers to regain balance by viewing experiences as part of a whole rather than in isolation.
Her work serves as a bridge to profound understanding and connection, inviting all to perceive life as a rich tapestry woven together, rather than a collection of scattered fragments.
